Snug, not tight. Close the thumb strap first. Then pull the two bands across the back of your hand, over the base of your thumb, wrap them around your wrist and stick the end to the cuff. The tighter you pull before sticking, the firmer the hold. If your fingertips tingle or change colour, loosen it.
